MOROCCO — A 73-year-old Lake Village woman was killed in a crash Thursday morning when a semitrailer smashed into a motorhome she was driving in with her husband on U.S. 41 and State Road 14, according to the Newton County Sheriff's Office. A 31-year-old Illinois woman was driving west in the semi when she failed to yield to the motorhome traveling south and crashed, the sheriff's office said in a news release. The impact pushed the two vehicles into another semi heading east. The occupants of the motor home were trapped and had to be removed by first responders.
