NVA Transportation is attempting to rezone land behind Nancy Drive off Sands Road, adding 350-plus semi-trucks and a large building. They presented their plans to the Crystal Lake Planning & Zoning Board on Sept. 6. Also in attendance were more than 100 opposing citizens. They believe this will negatively impact the traffic, safety of the neighborhood, as well as add air, noise and light pollution. There are many young children and families, as well as residents who have lived there since its inception.
