The Mercyhealth Hospital and Physician Clinic, located at 875 South Route 31 in Crystal Lake, opened on Monday after the more than two-year construction project came to completion. | Photo: Mercyhealth The new Mercyhealth Hospital in Crystal Lake, which has a 24-hour emergency room and intensive care unit, officially opened for patients earlier this week. Construction began in June 2021 on Mercyhealth Hospital and Physician Clinic, located on Route 31 just south of Three Oaks Road in Crystal Lake.
